Senior Adult Choir

Who are the Huffman Baptist Happy Hearts?

We’re just about the grooviest, grinnin’est  group of senior citizens that you will ever meet. We sing a lot of different styles of music but specialize in old gospel favorites.  We perform two musical dramas a year, travel some, sing at local nursing homes and whatever else we get invited to do.

There are no particular age requirements though most of us are over 25.

There are no auditions for great musical ability but you must
absolutely have a happy heart,
cause we "don’t allow no grumpy people”.

So grab your canes, bifocals, hearing aids and Geritol and come join us on
Wednesday afternoons at 4 in the choir room.

This original play with its accompanying Gospel Music represents a journey through the family picture album by Granny Edna and her great grand-daughter. Set in the family living room, the characters are brought to life as they step through a picture frame. The Album was written especially for our Centennial Celebration and costumes representing the past 100 years were worn by Happy Hearts members during the performances. Performances were at Heritage Hills Baptist Church in Conyers, GA on April 27 and here at HBC Worship Center on the evening of May 4 with an encore performance on September 7.

The Happy Hearts helped lead worship Wednesday April 9 10:30 AM
at Hilldale Baptist Church in Center Point, AL
as they provided special music for the Senior Adult Revival
sponsored by Hilldale Baptist Church and FBC of Center Point.

Happy Hearts Musical

That night we met Alice & Annie Browning. They are "old maid" twin sisters that still live in their family home. Annie is older by 11 minutes and has always been the bossy one. Over the years, however, she has hardened and become quite sour. Alice on the other hand, is sweet to a fault, rather ditzy, and is very hard of hearing.
